Study skills are an important part of planning and organising learning. Estelle has many clients who have a common difficulty. “I don’t know how to study.”

The skills required to study for a test or exam are easier if you know where to start. Similarly, being motivated and knowing how to approach homework or an assignment, can be daunting, resulting in stress and difficulty completing tasks on time.

Estelle provides study skill training, including essay planning and strategies for both writing and reading comprehension. Once students have a scaffold to work from, they will find approaching assignments and studying achievable, without the stress that it causes.

Working within a time frame is another area causing concern for both primary and secondary students. They often comment that they didn’t complete the test or ran out of time. Allocating timeslots to each section of a test and organising time spent, is imperative when approaching a test or exam across curriculum areas.

Estelle provides tuition to primary and high school students, giving students the best opportunity to achieve their potential and succeed.
